PRAYAS exists to motivate individuals and provide them with resources to solve the social problems of their surroundings by channelizing the local resources.
For the initial phase, we intend to involve our centres in the whole creation of a national social initiative with the goal of equipping them with the necessary skills to pinpoint issues in their own communities and create social initiatives as they evolve.
We aim to build a network of autonomous social worker centers across India, to provide them with a platform to ensure the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals for the weaker sections in society.
In this initiative creative minds from various institutes are chosen for identifying issues of society and finding the respective solution for the same. Youth and creative mind from different institute will be selected and these youth will be trained by highly qualified experienced Professors of IIT Kharagpur.
The skill development team of Prayas have successfully completed its computer training every six month. In this training program participants go through computer examination. Beneficiaries who enrolled for the training program cleared the test and were awarded with the course completion certificate. So far a total of 112 beneficiaries have been awarded with the computer training certificate since the program started in 2017.
A tailoring test was conducted for the students from the previous batch and certificate were awarded to 50 beneficiaries
